Animal Cruelty Case Sparks Petition Drive In Delaware County

The Oklahoma Animal Alliance said they delivered a box of 130,000 petition signatures to the Delaware County District Attorney's Office Monday to appeal the District Attorney's October decision to return animals back to the owners arrested for animal cruelty. 

The Alliance said there were 5,000 pages in the box.

A Jay couple was arrested in October after about 40 animals were seized from their home and three were euthanized on site.

Last month, a judge ordered the surviving animals returned to the couple.

The Oklahoma Animal Alliance said the petition delivery is a request  that the DA appeal the court's decision.
