Jenks Public Schools Asking For Donations To Help Teachers

The Jenks school district hopes to raise money online.

The district sent out an appeal Monday night on social media, asking people to donate $50 to support teachers, and hundreds of people have responded.

Elizabeth Inbody with the Jenks Public Schools Foundation said, “Sometimes, when you ask for a little, people will support that giving; sometimes when you ask for too much, not everybody can give. We find when we ask for a little, we find more success.”

The district has a goal of $15,000 and plans to use the money to reward teachers and faculty.
