The trial of a man charged with the murder of a 14-year-old Tulsa girl during an attempted robbery in June 2014 has been rescheduled for January 23, 2017.

Travis Lozada, 22, is charged with the shooting death of April Montano.

Prosecutors charged Lozada along with David Ruble, 22, and 24-year-old Demonte Rushing with her death.

Police say April Montano was a passenger in a pickup that was pulling an ATV on a trailer on the Gilcrease Expressway when the truck was hit by bullets.  Investigators believe the three men who were in a car opened fire on the truck in attempt to steal the four-wheelers.

In May 2016, David Ruble was convicted and sentenced to life without parole for the murder.

A trial date for Demonte Rushing has not yet been scheduled.
