Multiple Wrecks Back Up Traffic On Muskogee Turnpike
WAGONER COUNTY, Oklahoma - Two wrecks backed up traffic in the westbound lanes of the Muskogee Turnpike Friday morning.
Troopers said the first wreck happened at about 7:40 a.m. near 241st East Avenue. The wrecks happened in the construction zone where traffic is down to one lane in each direction already.
While the OHP worked to clear that wreck, a semi hit a barrier to the east of the first crash.
Troopers struggled to get a large wrecker to the scene to remove the semi.
The OHP re-opened the highway at about 9:45 a.m.
