Jury Finds Tulsa Father Guilty Of Child Abuse, Neglect

A Tulsa County jury found a Tulsa father guilty for shaking his three-month-old baby girl so violently that she had seizures.

Jacob Tyre, 21, charged with child abuse and child neglect was found guilty on both counts following a trial this week.

He was arrested by sheriff's deputies in July 2015.  In an affidavit filed in the case, Tyre admitted he was frustrated because the baby wouldn't stop crying.

The jury recommended eight years on the child abuse count and 12 years on the child neglect count.
