Volunteer Firefighters Battle Flames, Wind Near Sand Springs

Volunteer firefighters worked for hours against the wind to put out a grass fire on West 71st Street near 241st West Avenue overnight Sunday. That's southwest of Sand Springs.

The brush fire spread out to both sides of West 71st Street. About a dozen Keystone volunteer firefighters battled the flames and eventually got them under control.

No homes or structures were damaged in the fire.
