Same-Sex Marriage Ballot Question Tabled By Cherokee Tribal Council

The Cherokee Nation Council has put off a decision to place a same-sex marriage question on the ballot. 

A tribal councilor proposed putting the issue on a special election ballot, but in a meeting Tuesday, members tabled the issue.

The tribe's Attorney General issued an opinion making same-sex marriage legal back in December.
