Oologah Schools Opens Tornado Shelters To Residents

The Oologah-Talala Emergency Medical Service says the Oologah-Talala School District has opened its storm shelters to the community.

The two shelters have a combined capacity of 2,750. 

The district asks residents to follow directions of the signs and of shelter managers.

The brand new, $4 million shelters were built after district voters approved a bond issue. They were completed a few months ago and were used a couple of weeks ago for the first time.
