Chances for rain and storms will continue on-and-off for the rest of Sunday, so take your rain gear with you. For the metro, the highest chance will be through the morning hours as we watch a batch of rain and storms move in from the south that should expand in coverage before weakening around lunch time.

Afternoon showers and storms will be scattered and very hit and miss. Storms today will be capable of heavy downpours and gusty winds. Be careful driving on wet roads today.

Highs will manage to make it close to 80, some spots might even get into the low 80s but it will depend on where the showers and storms are occurring during the early afternoon. You'll find a gradual decrease in coverage through the evening hours before it ramps up overnight once again as the main upper level low moves across.

After that, as we get into tomorrow morning rain will taper off from north to south.  Some sunshine in the afternoon will possible especially from Tulsa to the north tomorrow. You might still find showers on-going into tomorrow evening for locations along I-40 to the south.

Highs tomorrow will be warmer in the mid 80s. This work week should be fairly quiet without any big systems headed our way. Highs should stay in the mid 80s for most the week.

Signs are starting to point toward a possible complex of rain and storms that could move through late Thursday night into Friday. We'll keep a close eye on it, right now chances are low but they could increase as we get more data.
