The Broken Arrow Police Department's Junior Police Academy is going on this week.

Children from 7th to the 12th grades go through an abbreviated version of the department's regular police academy.

On Thursday, the students ran though an obstacle course, a mock officer rescue, a sniper and a special operations demonstration.

The children are also scheduled to learn more about the department's K-9 officers and crime scene investigators.
