Oklahoma Highway Patrol said a chase ended with a wreck near the Claremore exit of the Will Rogers Turnpike. A gray pickup ran off the highway into a field.

Trooper Dwight Durant, OHP, said the driver ran from the vehicle after driving into the wooded area but was taken into custody. OHP and other law enforcement officers led the suspect from the field where his truck came to rest.

You could see tire marks in the grass going from the turnpike to the wooded field. One of the eastbound lanes of the turnpike was closed as emergency crews responded.

The man was treated for an injury. He appeared to have a gash on one of his legs.

He will be taken to the Rogers County Jail, Durant said.

This is a developing story, and we will update it as more information is confirmed.
