TULSA, Oklahoma - One suspect connected to a shooting that wounded an innocent teenager is behind bars; the other is still on the loose.

Kelly Gonzalez said she was sitting in the car with her 2-month-old, waiting for her kids to run inside and grab drinks at QuikTrip when she heard shots.

Police said surveillance video shows a gold car pull up to the store around the same time as Gonzalez and her family.

Officers said the driver of the car started shooting at a man pumping gas.

"I kind of, like, ducked down," Gonzalez said.

The gold car sped away as a similar looking car pulled in. Police said the man who was shot at started firing at the new car, mistaking it for the gunman.

"People just got out their cars and just started ducking," Gonzalez said.

At some point, Gonzalez’s 15-year-old daughter was hit.

"I put my arm where the hole was kind of to stop it from bleeding," she said. "This guy took off his shirt and he wrapped his shirt around my arm and one guy was holding my arm."

The victim said the two men stayed with her until an ambulance got there.

Wednesday, police arrested the first suspect in the August 19th shooting, Norman Gaines.

"I don't blame them, you know, because I know the bullet wasn't for me," the victim said.

While she doesn't blame the suspects, she said she wants them caught so they won't hurt anyone else.

"I know a lot of people are scared to talk about the violence, but we gotta start somewhere," Gonzalez said. "We can't be scared. We have to stand up for something, for our children."
