2-Year-Old Girl Dies In Drowning In Tulsa Community Pool

A 2-year-old girl was pronounced dead Saturday evening after being taken to a hospital after a drowning. 

Tulsa Police and Fire departments responded to a near-drowning around 8 p.m. Saturday.

Police say the drowning happened during some kind of celebration at a community pool in the 4300 block of S. 169th E. Avenue. 

Reports say CPR was performed on the girl after she was pulled out of the water. 

She was taken to the hospital where she died. 

It is unknown how long the girl was in the pool before being pulled out.
