A teenager suspected of shooting a man in the face Friday night is on the run.

Tulsa police were dispatched to a reported shooting in the 1500 block of North Utica Avenue around 7:15 p.m., police said in a news release.

The victim, a 27-year-old man, had a gun shot wound on the left side of his head, police said.

The victim, who was accompanied by his fiancé, was conscious and talking. He identified the shooter as a 17-year-old male, police said.

The investigation revealed the shooting occurred after an argument between the suspect and victim in front of a house in the 2000 block of North Atlanta Court, police said.

The victim was in the front seat of a vehicle parked in the driveway when he was shot one time by the suspect.

The suspect fled the scene on foot.

Officers made contact with the residents at the house on North Atlanta Court and received permission to enter the residence and search for the suspect; however, the suspect was not located inside the house.

Police haven't given a suspect description.

The victim has already been treated and will soon be released.
