Tulsa Police say a second body was found at the Savanna Landing Apartments near 61st and Peoria where a man was shot and killed early Tuesday.

We've learned the second victim was also shot. Homicide Sergeant Dave Walker said the body of the deceased woman was found in the bedroom of an apartment.

"I don't want to say it's related, but I don't want to say it's not related," Walker said. He said there are too many differences to say for sure if the murders are related, but it's too coincidental to say they're not.

The woman was identified as 21-year-old Shayron Brown, Walker said.

A large police presence was called to the complex where neighbors congregated. Police tell us two people were arrested for assaulting officers, and the officers are expected to be fine.

Scuffles broke out among some of the bystanders after the second body was found, and a woman was taken into custody just before 11 a.m. We don't know if she's one of the people arrested for assaulting police or a third person.

EMSA and Tulsa firefighters also responded to the volatile scene.

The first victim was at the complex to pick up some children for school just after 6 a.m. Tuesday, September 5, according to Tulsa police. He was confronted by another person and fatally shot.

The man, later identified as 40-year-old Teddy Prejean, or Ervin Sam, died at the scene. The man's girlfriend told police the victim had been banned from the complex.

Police say the victim had an extensive criminal history and was involved in a 2016 Tulsa murder investigation.
