TULSA, Oklahoma - The Tulsa Police Department is mourning the loss of 9-year-old K-9 Officer, 'Hooch,' who passed away over the weekend, TPD said.

Nine-year-old Hooch was responsible for 160 apprehensions during his time as a K-9 officer.

TPD said Hooch placed himself, "in danger at command and for the sake of his handler, Cpl. Chris Butterfield, and the officers around him.

"There is no greater picture of love, commitment, courage and desire to do the job than that which is displayed in a police K-9," said Chaplain Danny Lynchard. "Hooch was as good as they get. He will be missed and he deserves our respect."
