Green Country celebrates Scottish heritage with Scotfest featuring music, food, and some serious competition.
The Highland Games Lightweight Championship welcomes 120 men and women to compete for a chance at the world championship.
One of the events is the Sheaf toss where competitors use pitchforks to toss a 16-pound burlap sack up and over a wire.
Michael Dickens is a five-time world champion and explains how it's different from Scotland's national sport: golf.
"We definitely feed off the crowd energy and screaming. You know the other crazy Scottish sport they like people to be quiet. But we like people to make a lot of noise." Dickens said.
Scotfest continues Saturday night at Riverwest park and runs through 6pm Sunday.
