One Tulsa family is fighting to keep a loved one's memory alive. Family and friends of Tina Pitts gathered in north Tulsa more than 10 years after she went missing.

They released balloons in her honor.

Pitts disappeared in November 2006. Her sister Angie says they do small things like the balloon release every year on her birthday to keep her memory alive.

Pitts would have been 55.

Angie says she still has hope that her sister could be out here alive somewhere, but most of all, their family just needs closure.

"I gotta know. My mother left last year, she died and she doesn't know," Angie said. "I'm 60 years old, and I gotta know, for the rest of my life this is what I'm gonna do."

Tulsa police found Tina's blood in her boyfriend's truck at the time she went missing, but there wasn't enough evidence for an arrest.
