Three state officials were subpoenaed by a House Special Investigations Committee looking into financial mismanagement at the Oklahoma Health Department.

Those subpoenas were served to Preston Doerflinger, Denise Northrup and Chris Benge.  

Doerflinger serves as the director of the Office of Management Enterprise Services and acting director of the health department. Northrup is the acting director of the Office of Management and Enterprise Services. Benge is the chief of staff for Gov. Mary Fallin.

The Special Investigation Committee was formed by House Speaker Charles McCall (R-Atoka) to begin conducting an investigation into the Department of Health’s use of taxpayer dollars.

Their focus will be on the finances, appropriations and other financial resources of the health department, and how those funds.  The scope of the investigation n could extend to other agencies.
