Police are looking for a suspect who stole more than two dozen handguns from a hunting goods store in northwest Oklahoma City, early Friday morning.

It happened around 4:30 a.m. on Dec. 8, at the Cabela’s store located in the 1200 block of W. Memorial Rd.

Officers were dispatched to the store in reference to an alarm and discovered that a window on the northside of the building had been shattered. After a manager arrived officers were able to review surveillance footage.

On the recording, investigators saw the suspect smash in the glass and immediately run back to the gun counter. The suspect then broke into a case and started filling up a bag with as many handguns as he could grab. Then, almost as quickly as he entered the store, the suspect dashed out, dropping a few guns has he fled.

It’s estimated the suspect made off with approximately 25 handguns.

The suspect is described as a white male, who was wearing a black hoodie, black shorts, black socks, black gloves, and a mask at the time of the burglary. Investigators also found blood on the concrete outside of the store, by the shattered window.

If you have information about this robbery, you are asked to call Crime Stoppers at 405-235-7300. Callers can remain anonymous and may be eligible for a cash reward.
