Luther Police are still looking Thursday night for a man who they say attacked one of their own with a knife earlier in the day.

Police say an officer pulled over and tried to talk to a man who was walking along NE 164th and Dobbs. Police say the man slashed the officer with a knife in both arms before running away. The officer was treated for non-life threatening injuries but not taken to the hospital.

The suspect was last seen Thursday night near Harrah Rd. and Bowman Ranch Circle.

“If you’re in this area,” said police spokesperson Toney Walker, “stay in your homes. If you see anything, give us a call or call 911.”

There’s no detailed description of the suspect, other than he is a white male in his early twenties, and was wearing dark clothing and cowboy boots.
