Explosion Burns Tulsa Public School Employee

A Tulsa Public School maintenance worker is in the hospital following an explosion on Thursday, December 21st.

TPS Superintendent Dr. Deborah Gist says before the district closed for winter break, employee Jon Pulliam was cutting glass when an explosion occurred.  She says Pulliam received severe burns to his body.

Jon Pulliam is currently being treated at Hillcrest Medical Center's Burn Center.

TPS’s Communication Director tells News On 6 she doesn’t have any additional information.  We hope to learn more in the days to come about where he was and what might have caused the explosion.
