The installation of a utility pole by a private contractor was interrupted Wednesday morning after workers cut a natural gas line in west Tulsa.

The fire department says the cut in the 3-inch line happened on the south side of Charles Page Boulevard just east of 49th West Avenue.

Both east and westbound traffic on Charles Page has been diverted onto side streets while ONG crews repair the gas line. The street reopened around 10 a.m.
