Police Find Man Shot In Leg At Scene Of Tulsa Crash

<p>Police say a man is in a Tulsa hospital after they say he was shot in the leg and involved in a crash early Saturday.</p>

Police say a man is in a Tulsa hospital after they say he was shot in the leg and involved in a crash early Saturday.

He is identified as 41-year-old George Washington, Jr.

Officers say at about 12:30 a.m., police responded to a shots fired call in the 4900 block of North Elwood Avenue.

While en route, police say they got a second call about a crash in the 4600 block of North Elwood.  

When police arrived, they found a green Chevy pickup which had hit a tree and an unresponsive man slumped over the steering wheel.

During their investigation, police say the shooting happened in the 4900 block of North Elwood.  At the scene, officers found blood and several shell casings in the street.  

They say they were unable to locate any witnesses to the shooting.

Police say so far, Washington has been uncooperative with officers.
