OHP: SUV Driver Killed In Crash With Semi On I-44

The Oklahoma Highway Patrol says the driver of an SUV died after hitting a parked semi on the side of I-44 near the Yale exit early Friday.

Troopers say the semi was parked on the eastbound shoulder when for some unknown reason, the SUV hit the back of the semi.

According to the OHP, the truck's driver said he was waiting on a tow truck when the SUV slammed into the trailer.

The crash happened just before 5:25 a.m.

The OHP says because of the crash, the exit ramp to Yale \was closed.
