Authorities Continue Search For Missing Claremore Mother

People in Rogers County are continuing the search for a missing woman.

Investigators pooled their resources Saturday, spending hours looking for Marlo Wright, who hasn't been seen for nearly two months.

The Rogers County Sheriff's Office Mounted Patrol team and Claremore police are searching for Wright, a mother of three who is greatly missed. 

"We have no clue for sure whether she's alive or not," said Sister Sylvia Thompson. 

Ever since she didn't return home on February 1st, her family has been wondering where she is.

"I love her dearly and I wish she was here with me," said Mother Gladys Thomas

Investigators are searching Will Rogers Point, near Catoosa.

They know she was last seen wearing a red jacket with a blue and white shirt, and red or purple leggings.

"Today, we are on an evidence search," said Rogers County Deputy Maj Coy Jenkins. 

She was last seen February 1st when police say a friend of hers made her get out of his car between 2:00 and 3:00 that afternoon. 

Her family said she has trouble seeing and walking.  

It was about 20 degrees and sleeting that night.

Claremore Police said a deer camera showed a woman matching Wright's description heading west around 4:30 in the afternoon, then heading east six hours later.

"We think it's pretty likely that may have been her," said Claremore Police Investigator Brant Bruner. 

Investigators said with the land being so close to a city park, the hunter didn't think much of seeing a woman walk through the land, so he deleted the images. 

But after seeing a news report in early March, he told police the woman on his footage looked like Marlo.

Someone else reported that the day after the pictures were taken, they saw the same woman in the center median of Highway 66.

"If she spent a couple days out here, it wouldn't be easy for anybody to survive without being prepared, and she wasn't," said Bruner. 

Bruner said it's important their search is thorough, using all the resources they have available. 

"If she's out here, we need to find her. If she's not, we want to be able to say with certainty that she isn't, and she made it out of here," said Bruner. 

Police have questioned the friend Wright was with several times, and are not releasing his name.
