On Monday, special agents of the Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigation arrested the former LeFlore County Emergency Management Director and his wife.

OSBI says Michael Davidson was arrested at his home in Poteau just after 10:00 a.m.  His wife, Jennifer Davidson, turned herself in to authorities around noon.

According to the OSBI, the Davidsons were the subjects of a months-long investigation into allegations of embezzlement.

OSBI says agents learned that over several occasions the two used the LeFlore County Emergency Management fuel credit cards to purchase more than $2,000 of fuel for personal vehicles.  Michael Davidson allegedly also took money from the county emergency management to purchase items supposedly for the agency, but never delivered them to the agency.

Michael Davidson was charged with four felony counts of embezzlement.

Jennifer Davidson was charged with one count of unauthorized use of a credit or debit card.  She also had three outstanding warrants for her arrest for obtaining cash and/or merchandise by bogus check.
