News On 6 viewers saw unprecedented coverage of Monday's Teacher Walkout. And we can tell more stories through a new community journalism project: [UNFILTERED].

We've teamed up with Mike Boettcher who worked with us at Griffin Communications before becoming a network war correspondent and University of Oklahoma journalism professor. His student journalists will help Oklahomans take part in their own stories.

"One of the issues is, people aren't involved in the process. And I think people want transparency," Boettcher said. "They want to be involved in the news gathering process and help us in our journey."

"The behind-the-scenes stuff won't seem as much like a hidden agenda, hopefully," said Brigette Waltermire. "We want people to really identify with how we take them along on the journey, and we want their input and we want their trust in helping us to complete journey to finding that story and telling that story."
