Tulsa Police Investigating Shooting At Super 8 Motel
TULSA, Oklahoma - One man is dead tonight after a shooting at a Tulsa Super 8 hotel near 31st and Memorial.
Tulsa Police say they found one man dead with a single gunshot wound. Homicide detectives are still out here on the scene.
Officers say they got the call around 7:45 from a man staying at the motel saying that he had shot someone who tried to come into his room. When police arrived they say they found a man dead inside of the shooter’s doorway.
Investigators say they found the shooter in his room with the gun in his pocket. Police say an argument about a noise complaint may have led up to the shooting.
“The shooter opened the door told him to be quiet, shut up. And that’s when the guy that was shot went into the room and the confrontation occurs. And the shooter shoots the guy that doesn’t belong in the room once," said TPD Sgt. Dave Walker.
Officers say they have taken the shooter into custody for questioning, no names have been released. This is Tulsa’s 29th homicide of the year.
