SAND SPRINGS, Oklahoma - Police arrested a liquor store customer after cameras showed her attacking a store clerk in Sand Springs. The clerk is okay, and police arrested the customer for assault, possession of meth and trespassing.

Talmadge Staggs had been previously banned from the liquor store. The altercation started when she saw the manager of the liquor store at a nearby fruit stand and started using vulgar language, so the manager went inside and called 911.

The video shows Staggs follow the manager, Debbie, inside. Staggs yells, waves her arms and points her finger in Debbie's face while Debbie is talking to police.

Then, Staggs goes around the counter and gets physical. Debbie puts up her arm in defense then grabs a baseball bat but puts it down.

Staggs keeps pushing and shoving then hits Debbie, puts her in a headlock and slams her into the counter, breaking some liquor bottles.

"Thinking I should pick up something and hit her with it, but I didn't know because she wasn't robbing me. She was just mad at me," Debbie said.

Debbie chases Staggs from out behind the counter and Staggs keeps yelling and being aggressive until police arrive and then she puts her hands behind her back to be cuffed.

"I just said, take her to jail,” Debbie said.

Debbie realized later how seriously she could've been hurt and is grateful it was just bumps and bruises.

"My neck and shoulder was really sore and I was bruised all the way around," she said.

Records show Staggs has been to prison for assault and battery along with forgery, theft and counterfeiting.

Now that Debbie knows she has the right to defend herself, next time, she'll be ready.

As for the liquor store, Staggs is now banned for life.
