Deputies Work To ID Man's Body Found Near Lake Eufaula

A death investigation continues in Pittsburg County near Lake Eufaula.  

Last month, the sheriff's office said a body was found on Friday, July 27th.  Deputies say it is believed to be 53-year-old Robert Reagan who was last seen on July 7th.

The sheriff's office say the body still hasn't been positively identified, but Reagan's mother says Robert had been living off the land near Lake Eufaula.  Although secluded, she says Robert looked forward to their daily phone calls.  But on July 7th, Reagan didn't answer his phone.  

"I took him supplies.  Every week we went down and took supplies and he was evidently soul searching himself.  In our heart of hearts we know he died on July 7th of this year," said Jerrie Reagan.

The Pittsburg County Sheriff's Office says the identification process could take months.
