The Oklahoma Secretary of State’s Office said there weren’t enough signatures on a petition to get a state question on the ballot regarding medical marijuana.

Proposed State Question 796 would have asked the voters to put the right to medical marijuana in the state constitution.

Secretary of State James Williamson said his office counted a total of 95,176 signatures, short of the required 123,725 needed.

The Secretary of State’s Office sent a report of its findings to the Oklahoma Supreme Court, which will review the information and determine if there are “sufficient signatures to place the proposal on a ballot.”
