Police say a man was hit and killed while riding his motorcycle in Bartlesville on Saturday, August 18th.

According to BartlesvilleRadio.com, police say he is identified as Cleo “Cotton Bowl” Lewis.

Police say Lewis was riding east on Frank Phillips Boulevard when a car ran a stop sign and hit Lewis at around 3 p.m.  Cleo Lewis was taken to a Bartlesville hospital, then transferred to a Tulsa hospital, where he later died.

Police Captain Jay Hastings says witnesses didn’t see the crash, but did see a car driving off.

Police say they have taken a car that matches the damage done to Lewis’ motorcycle in as evidence and have questioned the driver.

Captain Hastings says anyone with more information about the crash is asked to call the police department at 918-338-4001.
