Tulsa County deputies are looking for two men they said broke into a storage container and drew gunfire from the unit's owner.

Deputies said the department's tactical team is searching for both men and they believe they could be in the area near Cameron and 49th West Avenue.

The owner of the property saw the men on his surveillance system using a blow torch to break into his storage container, which has tools and engines inside.

That's when deputies said he confronted them. They said and once the property owner saw one of the burglars had a gun, he shot at them.

He told investigators that he believes he hit one of the burglars but both kept running.

Deputies said the men got into a truck and drove away. One of them was wearing jeans, a T-shirt and a hat, while the other was dressed in a pinstripe Zoot suit, according to Deputy Justin Green.

The sheriff’s office said the owner also believes he shot out a tire of the truck.

Vikki Bono said she heard gunshots Tuesday morning but thought it was someone trying to get into her home. When she found out about what happened, she said she was in shock.

"I still haven't quite sunk in and realized that that's what that was. I thought it was someone prowling around, which scared me anyway," she said.

The property owner said thieves have targeted his property before.
