Edmondson Hopes To Avoid Negative Ads For Fall Gubernatorial Race

Former Oklahoma Attorney General Drew Edmondson will face the winner of Tuesday night’s Republican runoff for Governor.

News On 6 spoke with Edmondson about the negative ads surrounding both campaigns.

"I don't think the voters like it. Negative advertising tends to depress voter turnout, you know they get mad at everybody and just don't go vote. And I think that's unfortunate and I certainly hope we can avoid that in the fall," said Edmondson.

Edmondson said he hopes to continue to run a positive campaign and focus on the state's issues.
