Police Arrest Man Accused Of Beating Another Man To Death At Tulsa Apartment

Tulsa police have arrested a man they say is suspected of beating another man to death at a Tulsa apartment complex.

Police say James Gainer got into an argument with the victim and started beating him with a broom handle at the Lewiston Apartments near 51st and Lewis on Saturday.

They say Gainer then dragged the victim into the parking lot, where he continued to kick the victim until officers arrived.

“This was apparently a very long assault and it happened over about a 15-minute time span, so he was obviously beat up bad enough to kill him,” said Sergeant Brandon Watkins.

The victim’s name has not been released.
