BROKEN ARROW, Oklahoma - The Broken Arrow City Council will consider regulations for Medical Marijuana dispensaries at its meeting Tuesday evening.

Councilors will consider two proposed ordinances regarding zoning and licensing requirements.

The regulations would be for marijuana dispensaries, commercial growers and marijuana processors operating in Broken Arrow.

One of the ordinances, if approved, would allow medical marijuana dispensaries several different districts of the city, including downtown.

And commercial growing and processing facilities would be permitted in industrial zones, with the stipulation, all growing and processing must be done inside a building.

The other ordinance would establish licensing and regulations for medical marijuana businesses and licensed personal use growers.

If approved, home grown medical marijuana plants can not be accessible to the public.

The meeting is set for 6:30 p.m. at Broken Arrow's City Hall located at 220 South 1st Street.
