First-Degree Murder Charged Refiled In 2011 Tulsa Homicide

Prosecutors refiled a first-degree murder charge against a Tulsa woman who was previously deemed incompetent to stand trial.

Court records show the charge was refiled Tuesday against 27-year-old Michelle Millikin, five years after she was last deemed incompetent.

In 2011, police say Millikin stabbed Gary Bailey in the chest at a home near Charles Page Drive and 49th West Avenue. They say the victim was able to identify her as the killer before he died.

In 2013, her murder charge was dismissed because she was deemed incompetent to stand trial.

Records show she had been found incompetent after several evaluations over the two year period between 2011 and 2013, and examiners noted she had a severe mental illness.

Records show she was committed to the Oklahoma Forensic Center for treatment. The Tulsa County District Attorney's Office said she is about to be discharged.

There is now a warrant out for her arrest.
