People across Green Country gathered Monday for a very special sendoff.

Oklahoma Warriors Honor Flight is taking veterans of World War II, Korea, and Vietnam to Washington, D.C., for a one-day, all-expenses-paid trip to see the memorials built in their honor.

“They will go to Arlington and they will get to see the changing of the guard at the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier,” said Ron Moseley.  “Four of these veterans will actually get to participate in a wreath-laying ceremony.”

The veterans will return home Tuesday night at around 10:00 p.m.
