Court Hearing Postponed For Tulsa Teen Charged With Murder, Rape
TULSA, Oklahoma - Both sides were expected to share evidence in a discovery hearing for Tulsa teen Deonte Green Monday, but it was postponed until January 23. Green faces more than 20 felony charges.
Deonte Green's charges include first-degree murder, first-degree rape and kidnapping.
Prosecutors say Green committed numerous crimes in October of 2017.
Multiple witnesses have testified that they they saw Deonte Green commit those crimes, including an 81-year-old woman who says Green raped her. And the wife of a Broken Arrow school teacher says Green killed her husband.
The defense argues that the witnesses may not have been able to see Green's face clearly since he was wearing a hoodie.
According to court documents, Green's jury trial is set for April 2019.
