JENKS, Oklahoma - A Tulsa area family got a huge surprise just in time for Christmas.

A soldier is home with his family for the holidays. Mason Alexander flew into town Wednesday evening after being away from home for six months.

Mason has been in South Carolina and Virginia training with the Army National Guard.  

Working with his mom's best friend, the two set up the surprise. The friend met Alexander at the the airport before taking him to Jenks. 

And News On 6 was there when Mason surprised his mom, his sister and the rest of the family at Main Event in Jenks.

 Mason is home until January 3rd before heading back to Ft. Lee. He will stay there for several weeks before coming back to Ft. Sill in Lawton.
