Fat Guy's Burger Bar Co-Owner Dies In Tulsa Highway Crash

The co-owner of a popular Tulsa restaurant is dead after he was hit by a van while walking on I-244 Wednesday night.

Troopers say the co-owner of Fat Guy's Burger Bar, 41-year-old Christopher Allen Dodge, was hit and killed by a minivan at 10 p.m. Troopers say Dodge had just gotten out of his vehicle after he crashed into a wall on I-244 near 2nd Street.

They say as he walked across the interstate, a 2008 Chevy Uplander struck him.

OHP closed the highway for nearly two-and-a-half hours before reopening it early Thursday. Troopers say the driver of the Chevy minivan, 28-year-old Frank Rodriquez of Moore, was not hurt but went to the hospital for a blood test.

Two dogs were found in Dodge's car and were picked up by a Tulsa animal control officer.
