The Oklahoma Bureau of Narcotics received nearly $2 million in grants from the federal government to combat the trafficking of meth, heroin and opioids.

The OBN will use the money to create two new drug task forces which will help law enforcement from several jurisdictions better work together.

The bureau's director says since 2010, heroin-related deaths in Oklahoma have increased by more than 700 percent.
