TULSA, Oklahoma - Drivers were asked to avoid the area of southbound Highway 169 that transitions to the eastbound Creek Turnpike in Tulsa as emergency crews responded to a man on the overpass bridge.

Tulsa Police said the man had been straddling the railing then getting back on the bridge. TPD has the man in custody and they are talking to him now. They were able to get him safely off the bridge after about an hour and forty minutes. Officers say he was wearing some type of dress uniform. 

Oklahoma Highway Patrol, TPD and Tulsa Fire were all involved in the situation.
