OHP Needs Help Identifying Possible Witness Of Fatal Stillwater Crash

OHP is asking for the public's help in identifying a driver they say might have witnessed a fatal wreck Wednesday. 

Troopers say the wreck happened around 12:30 p.m. on Highway 51 east of Stillwater. Investigators believe a Chevy Cobalt crossed the center line and hit a Chevy Malibu, killing 48-year-old Shelby Chatham from Yale. Reports say the driver of the Cobalt was hospitalized in critical condition.

OHP says investigators are looking for a pickup pulling a gooseneck flatbed trailer that could be gold in color. They say a different eye-witness told troopers the truck and trailer was near when one of the vehicles crossed the center line.

Troopers say its possible the car that went left of center was trying to pass the truck and trailer. Anyone with information as to the driver of the pickup is asked to call Troop K at (580) 336-9880.
