A community is coming together to celebrate and reflect on the seven principals of Kwanzaa. Kwanzaa is a holiday tradition based on the "first harvest" celebrations in cultures across Africa.
Dozens gathered at the Rudisill Regional Library Thursday for the second night of Kwanzaa.
Tulsa Poet Anthony C. Brinkley says the celebration is growing here in Tulsa.
"I would love to see is more of us embrace our heritage rather than run from it," he said.
The stage was full of fun and tradition with African drumming, dancing, spoken word, music and poetry.
