Helping Tulsa Area Non-Profits By Recycling Old Electronics
TULSA, Oklahoma - Friday through Monday you can recycle old electronics and give to local non-profits.
Lots of people received brand new electronics for Christmas this year, so this event is the perfect time to recycle your old devices.
The collection will take place at the baseball field parking lot at Tulsa's LaFortune Park.
The event starts Friday, December 28th and runs through Monday, December 31st. You can drop off any of the items between 10 a.m. and 4 p.m.
The Electronic Synergy Foundation hosts the event each year.
"By recycling unwanted electronics we keep reusable resources and toxins out of the environment. While the primary part of our mission is environmental protection, we also love that we can pass the usable items along to other nonprofits to aid in their mission," said founder and Executive Director, Scott Metzger.
The list of items they accept includes computers, printers, microwaves and cell phones.
Metzger says there is a recycling fee for some of the larger items like TVs and monitors.
