9-Year-Old Sent To Hospital After Pedestrian Accident

A 9-year-old girl was taken to the hospital after a traffic accident Tuesday afternoon, police say.

Officers say the girl was crossing 101st East Avenue near 31st Street when she walked into the side of a car. The accident left her with a minor cut on the head and a scraped knee.

Police say the driver of the car was paying attention and saw it happen. The driver was not cited.

The girl was sent to the hospital as a precaution.
