Some Oklahoma tribal members are hurting financially from the ongoing government shutdown.
Pawnee Nation's president says 120 of the 140-workers at Indian Health Services didn't receive a paycheck on Friday, December 11th and he says a lot of tribal members are currently furloughed.
"They work at the IHS, they work at the BIA and they also work here and when they're furloughed they're no check coming to them, some of them didn't get a check last Friday, so the impact is pretty hard," Bruce Pratt, President of the Pawnee Nation.
The tribe has set up a GOFUNDME account to raise money for the workers to buy groceries during the shutdown.
