Oklahoma Swears In Cindy Byrd As First Female State Auditor
OKLAHOMA CITY, Oklahoma - Oklahoma made history on Monday when Cindy Byrd was sworn in as State Auditor.
Byrd is the first woman to ever be elected state auditor in our state. Byrd says she looks forward to helping Governor Kevin Stitt's administration achieve his goal of holding state agencies accountable.
“Governor Kevin Stitt has made accountability and transparency in the expenditure of public funds a priority of his administration. The State Auditor’s primary role is to do just that. I look forward to working with our new governor and legislators to accomplish this goal,” said Byrd.
